A Kinkade Christmas A Story by :Kelley Pascoe Well it’s that time a year again where friends and family are gathered around us. Christmas is right around the corner. Children are being extra good and teens are sneaking a kiss under the mistletoe. Grandma has knitted warm mittens for the twins while grandpa smokes a pipe and looks out the window at the new fallen snow. He exhales a spicy, scented smoke that trailed eternally and drift’s off to a time when he was much younger .He watches the children run up and down McCumberland Hill and wonders to himself “I wonder if grandma could still skate on the frozen pond down below”. It was a winter wonderland full of snow flakes drifting here and there with a silent laziness where icicles are spun. Bobby and Susan hold hands as they skate around the frozen pond. They smile at each other from time to time knowing they will never be as happy as they are right now. The smaller children skate around the two love birds laughing and making fun of
