This is a cool video I made from a tutorial that I found on Video Copilot that can be found at
[link] I created a Smokey portal effect with turbulent Particles coming out of it. I start with a background video and then added the video of the woman walking away from a green screen. I used a tiny smoke video and duplicated it like 25 times and rotated it in all kinds of directions to get to portal effect and then I got rid of the green screen in the woman’s video and placed the smoke behind the woman. After that I added some lens flares and there you have it. I know it was a short video but I learned a lot of things making it.
The software I used is Adobe After Effects CS5 and the only plugin that was bought was the Optical flares plugin. All the rest are free plugins that come with the software.
